Position Summary
The Sr Process Engineer is a professional & technical support to
the operational / manufacturing function. A Sr Process Engineer is
a specialist in their function and in a specific product category,
therefore must have a deep understanding of the product properties,
engineering and quality aspects. They are part of a team made up of
the various functions especially Production and Quality Management
and work to enhance the business objectives and Operations
performance.
Responsibilities:
---Business Unit daily support including factory floor problem
solving, troubleshooting, training, coaching
---Strategic Business Unit support leading process improvement
projects with factory teams to eliminate top losses
---Utilize external suppliers, experts, other factories and
corporate team to ensure proper technical solutions are defined and
implemented to eliminate root causes
---Manage relationships with corporate partners
---Develop training and skills assessment for hourly and salary
team members
---On the job training (OJT) ownership i.e. tracking and managing
competency progress
---Supports new product or process implementation
---Ensure processes & equipment are compliant with all internal and
external safety environmental and quality regulations.
---Support implementation of continuous improvement and operations
management systems and routines
---Interface with Factory Management Teams, Production, Quality,
SH&E, Controllers
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Maintenance & Reliability,
Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Chemical or equivalent) strongly
preferred or equivalent experience and minimum 5-7 years'
experience preferably in the food manufacturing, liquid processing
or consumer goods industry
Knowledge of ISO14001; FSSC22000
Understanding, and passion for continuous improvement
methodologies
Knowledge and understanding of the cost drivers of Maintenance and
Production in manufacturing operations
Ability to mine and analyze data for trends/reports
Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to interact with and lead a diverse group, including
managers, technicians, operators and subject matter experts.
Excellent presentation skills
Project Management skills
Strong technical understanding of basic manufacturing equipment
