Because our focus is not only on nourishing our customers, but also about enriching you.This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.Position Summary & ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Automation Engineer sets direction, priorities and schedules with factory Electrical/Process Control engineers for all key E & A initiatives to be implemented in the factories. They are responsible for monitoring progress and providing guidance in the area of electricity and automation to the factory for the successful implementation of capital projects and maintenance activities. This role provides guidance and support to meet engineering targets and objectives. This role's financial/strategic impact is related to the capital investment budget related to MES, Electricity & Automation.They will be responsible for all aspects related to Electricity, Automation, Process Control, Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and the Factory Automation System (FAS) infrastructure, applications and resources with large focus on internal system integration according to Nestl-- corporate strategies, standards, specifications and local codes and regulations.Position ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Electrical & Automation Engineer maintains the existing electrical and automation infrastructure and applications.--- Conduct preventive maintenance on power distribution and automation equipment--- Keep electrical power distribution and automation drawings and documentation updated--- Manage the instrument calibration program for regulatory and quality compliance--- Perform troubleshooting in case of problems and ensure the PLC or HMI applications are properly managedElectrical & Power Distribution:--- Manage all technical aspects of the plant's electrical power distribution from the utility company service entrance down through switchboards, transformers, distribution panels, etc. to all individual loads. This includes the following activities:o Guardian of the factory's power distributiono Knowledge of the plant electrical system from the utility company lines to transformers, switchboards, distribution panels, MCC, motors, lighting fixtures, etc.o Maintain accuracy and content of the electrical system key documentationAutomation & Process Control:--- Guardian of the factory's process control system. Some of the activities are the following:o Understanding of the existing process control infrastructure, configuration, requirements, networks, level of automation, etc.o Maintain accuracy and content of the control system key documentation (Configuration diagrams, P&IDs, Process descriptions, etc.)o Oversee the controls/instrumentation and IT activities in the factory (PLC & HMI design, training, programming, etc.) in support of capital investment and maintenance.Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES):--- Define requirement for MES based on plant needs--- Define and implement technical training for MES systemsCapital Projects & Liaison with Other Departments:--- Participate in the electricity and automation engineering efforts to ensure that the design, drawings and specifications meet process requirements, are cost effective, and are in accordance with good engineering practices and Nestl-- guidelines for all capital projects in the factory.QualificationsQualifications / Certifications--- Bachelors' degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience--- Minimum of 6-8 years of industrial experience and 5 years of Electrical & Automation experience--- In-depth knowledge of electricity, in low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage installations.--- Good knowledge of local electrical code and standards--- Good knowledge of Instrumentation and Process Control Systems--- In-depth knowledge of HMIs, PLCs and Control Networks.--- Knowledge of food processing operations and technology--- Knowledge on MES (Manufacturing Execution System)--- Knowledge on manufacturing IT, industrial networks and applications--- Experience with CAPEX budgeting and preparation--- Experience using Capital Investment Approval & Tracking (CIAT) tool--- Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety, hygienic engineeringSkills:--- Strong interpersonal skills--- Strong conflict resolution skills--- Strong managerial, leadership and technical skills--- Ability to think conceptually and deal with ambiguity with a strong innovation mindset--- Proactive problem-solving ability, including the ability to think objectively through various options and scenarios.--- Ability to adapt quickly to changes--- Project Engineering/Management skills--- Knowledge of Hygienic engineering--- Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety, and equipment--- Proficient in MS Office/MS Project180916It is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.To our veterans and separated service members, you're at the forefront of our minds as we recruit top talent to join Nestl--.
