in everything we do. Job Description: The Operations Associate
position is a bargaining represented position and is responsible
for all aspects of electronic assembly and repair of printed
circuit boards, electronic cabinets, cable harnesses, and/or
electro-mechanical assemblies. Typical duties may include hand
soldering, mechanical assembly, inspection, cable assembly,
electronic console assembly, electronic system assembly,
point-to-point wiring. Specifically, we are seeking a skilled and
detail-oriented Surface mount technology (SMT) Electronics Assembly
Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be
responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing SMT electronic
components. Essential Functions: /n - Assemble SMT electronic
components and PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies) according
to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions. /n -
Operate and maintain SMT assembly equipment, including
pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and solder paste printers.
/n - Perform soldering, desoldering, and rework of SMT components
using precision tools and techniques. /n - Conduct quality
inspections on completed SMT assemblies and sub-assemblies to
ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
/n - Troubleshoot and repair defective SMT products or components
as necessary. /n - Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and
materials required for SMT assembly tasks. /n - Record and report
production data into SAP. /n - Collaborate with engineering and
production teams to improve SMT assembly processes. /n - Follow all
safety and quality control procedures to maintain a safe working
environment. /n - Assist Manufacturing Engineering in developing
SMT assembly procedures and work instructions for new product
introduction. /n - Utilize automated SMT assembly and testing
equipment to enhance production efficiency and accuracy. /n -
Monitor SMT assembly and testing equipment to ensure optimal
performance. /n - Participate in continuous improvement activities
to enhance product quality and reduce production costs. /n -
Document and report any discrepancies or deviations from SMT
assembly specifications promptly. /n /n Qualifications: /n - High
school diploma or equivalent /n - Must be a U.S. Citizen. /n -
Proven experience in SMT electronics assembly, soldering, and
testing. /n /n /n - Able to obtain IPC-610, IPC620 and J Standard
001 certifications on first try and/or no more than 2 times. /n -
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings,
schematics, and technical manuals. /n - Strong attention to detail,
manual dexterity, and ability to work with precision. /n - Basic
knowledge of electronic components and their functions. /n -
Ability to use hand tools, soldering irons, and SMT-specific
equipment. /n - Good communication skills and the ability to work
effectively in a team environment. /n - Ability to tolerate
exposure to solder paste, flux, and solder fumes. /n - Must be able
to sit and stand for long periods of time. /n - Excellent
problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot SMT issues.
/n - Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation. /n
/n Preferred Additional Skills: /n - IPC J-STD-001 certification or
similar industry-standard soldering certifications. /n - Experience
with SMT equipment such as pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens,
and solder paste printers. /n - Three (3) or more years of
experience in high tech electronics environment /n - Three (3) or
more years of experience in manufacturing /n - Experience with ESD
(Electrostatic Discharge) protection practices. /n - Understanding
of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices. /n - Willingness to
obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance /n /n In compliance
with pay transparency requirements, the salary for this role is
$31.78. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final
offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to
