Job Description:

care in NJ since 1912. -Responsible for assisting and supporting
the planning and implementation of a comprehensive program to
sustain and expand philanthropic support for Visiting Nurse
Association Health Group including the annual giving program,
fundraising campaigns (internal and external), special events,
major gifts, planned giving programs, fundraising operations and
special projects as needed. Reports to Chief Philanthropy Officer
with dotted line reporting to Director of Annual Giving. - -
- Support Chief Philanthropy Officer and Director of Annual
Giving in the strategic development and execution of internal and
external fundraising campaigns including Employee Annual Giving
Campaign, Emerging Leadership Board, Special Events and Projects
and Capital Campaigns, as well as support all cultivation and
stewardship efforts including in-person events, mailings, digital
communications, etc.
- Serve as the central hub for internal and external philanthropy
communications to ensure coherence of messaging and standardization
per organization branding, including serving as primary copywriter
and proofreader for outgoing philanthropy communications
(solicitation letters, appeals, board communications, donor
communications, etc.).
- Oversee all acknowledgment letters and donor communications
including regular audit of materials to ensure accuracy and
standardization per organization/entity(s) branding and
fundraising/philanthropy best practices.
- Oversee organization's fundraising-related public relations,
marketing activities, website and social media presence in
coordination with Marketing team and web vendor.
- Oversee and execute the annual and daily operations needs for
philanthropy department including IRS status renewals, state
charitable registrations, vendor contract renewals, giving surveys
and the annual report.
- Oversee philanthropy department constituent screenings - wealth
screenings, prospect research, etc. to develop a streamlined system
for introducing prospective donors.
- Serve as central hub for philanthropy department's role in WE
CARE Employee & Patient Emergency Fund operations including
overseeing client emergency funding request process: receiving
applications, sharing with review committee and facilitating check
disbursement with finance
- Research and implement new fundraising technologies and payment
processors to ensure organization stays current, offering modern
mechanisms for donations
- In conjunction with Director of Annual Giving, oversee annual
giving program including direct mail, stewardship and digital
fundraising strategies as well as the Philanthropy Newsletter.
- Oversee the Emerging Leadership Board including board
recruitment/management as well as oversight and coordination of
board special events and fundraising initiatives
- Provide support to the Director of Annual Giving in
implementing successful events that engage volunteers, raise
awareness of VNA and meet budgeted goals. -
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of fundraising experience
- Strong computer skills with thorough knowledge and application
of MS Office products and database management software-Raiser's
Edge experience preferred
