The Role

As a Principal Technical Product Marketing Manager, you will drive all aspects of technical marketing for SaaS Security, Connectivity, and Observability products for microservices running in Kubernetes. Building technical content such as website content and use case messaging, in-product messaging for technical user personas like app developers, DevOps, Cloud Platform Engineers, as well as messaging and positioning for buyer personas. You will be responsible to build actionable, bite-sized, and compelling content for developer and other technical audiences like DevOps, SecOps, and C-Level Executives based on the messaging. The content will vary based on user profile, use case, user journey stage (learn, try, buy). It will vary from thought leadership material by working with external agencies and research firms, to whitepapers, technical demos, customer testimonials, sample code, videos, technical blogs, e-books, professional digital content for campaigns, social and web copy, and sales enablement material for technical end-users and C-level personas.

What we're looking for:

  • 6+ years of B2B SaaS technical product marketing experience.
  • Ability to synthesize product differentiators to build suitable messaging in end user's tone, and gain alignment on messaging and positioning with all stakeholders.
  • Opinionated, data-obsessed, self-starters, and creative copywriter with a flair to simplify and yet retain the authenticity and essence of the product differentiators.
  • Familiarity with product-led growth, digital marketing and lifecycle campaign methodology
  • Experience building innovative digital content for social media, content for website, content for lifecycle campaigns.
  • Prior experience with technical products for developers, DevOps, or IT security admins
  • Acute understanding of content KPIs and what content would resonate with each audience type
  • UX copyediting, including desktop, mobile, and web User experience research, such as competitive analyses, direct customer feedback
  • Ability to draft technical blogs
  • Prior experience doing sales and partner enablement with accurate and usable content
  • Prior experience in building content and marketing to developers, devops, SecOps, and Cloud Platform Engineers.

    Responsibilities will include:
    • Building messaging, positioning, and doing persona research
    • Building content strategy and building content quickly and effectively for all form factors, all digital channels, and for sales and partners.
    • Content strategy and execution responsibilities for developer products involving technologies such as Kubernetes, API Security, Application Security, AI/ML at the edge, Serverless, and so on.
    • Creating reports for key stakeholders

      Who you are:
      • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. Bachelor's or master's degree in Marketing/Journalism with experience in B2B technology product for developers or Engineering/Technology background in CS or equivalent.
      • You love building technical marketing content of all kinds, digital, web, social, thought leadership, and technical product marketing and messaging.
      • Minimum 10 years' experience in the tech industry at a senior level in product marketing, product management, strategy, or consulting role
      • Excellent communications and presentation abilities
      • Strategic, critical but creative problem solver with strong technical and business sense
      • Ability to lead, build and work within cross-functional team environments
      • Deep understanding of software, networking, collab, security, cloud, and virtualization business models and corporate marketing strategy
      • Familiarity with new software technology and incubation
