Job Description:

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)National Spine & Pain Centers (NSPC) is one of the largest pain management practices in the United States. We currently are looking for enthusiastic CRNA's to join our team in our New Jersey ASC's. Working under the guidance of our world-renowned physicians, our CRNA's deliver high quality anesthesia and pain care services to patients before, during, and after various pain management procedures.Additionally, CRNA's will: Perform and document the pre-anesthesia assessment and evaluation of the patient. Review laboratory/diagnostic studies.Obtain informed consent for anesthesia and related services.Select, obtain, order, and administer pre-anesthetic medication or treatment.Develop and implement an anesthesia care plan.Select, obtain, prepare, and use equipment, invasive and non-invasive monitors, supplies, and drugs for the administration of sedation, and anesthesia services; perform safety checks as needed.Select, order, obtain, and administer analgesic and anesthetic agents, adjuvant drugs, accessory drugs, fluids, or blood products necessary to provide anesthesia services.Perform all aspects of airway management, including fiber optic intubation.Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia by evaluating patient response, and selecting, ordering, and administering medications, fluids, and ventilator support to maintain patient stability during transfer.Initiate and administer post-anesthesia pharmacological or fluid support of the cardiovascular system. * Initiate and administer respiratory support to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation in the post-anesthesia period.Evaluate patient response to anesthesia and surgery; take appropriate corrective action during the post-anesthesia period.Provide post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care and discharge patients from the post-anesthesia care unit.Implement acute and chronic pain management modalities.Manage emergency situations by assessing, stabilizing, and determining disposition of patients, including providing airway management, administration of emergency drugs and fluids, and using basic and advanced cardiac life support techniques.Maintain all required continuing education credits, credentialing, and professional licensure.Adhere to and uphold all applicable federal and state compliance regulations, the NSPC Code of Conduct, the NSPC Employee Handbook, compliance policies and procedures, and applicable healthcare fraud, waste and abuse laws.Understand, comply with, and enforce all NSPC policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and OSHA and HIPAA privacy rules.Perform all other duties as assigned.We require the following:Current state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of practice, and compliance with any applicable state statutory or regulatory requirements concerning advanced practice registered nursing.A master's degree from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.Current certification by the Council on Certification of Nurses Anesthetists/current recertification by the Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.Ability to be insured by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this institution or state.Current competency in the clinical responsibilities for which the candidate is applying.Ability to operate clinical and patient monitoring equipment.Knowledge of EMR software products.The capability to learn new software technologies for electronic patient registration, records, dictation, transcriptions, etc.The capacity to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity.Excellent organizational/multi-tasking skills with acute attention to detail.Authorization to work in the United States without requiring authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.A satisfactory background check inclusive of driving records, criminal records, employment references, education, social security and OIG exclusions.
