• Care for ill, injured, or convalescing patients
• Monitor catheters, dress wounds.
• Supervise nursing assistants and aides.
• Provide basic patient care and treatment.
• Collaborate with registered nurses to administer prescribed medications.
• Educate and update patients on medical treatments.
• Other duties assigned by the Nursing SupervisorRequirements:- Valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of New York-Minimum 6 Months in Long Term Care- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment- Knowledge of senior care principles and practices is desirableNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
