Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician AtlantiCare Health System Locations: - Hospitals: - Mainland Campus – Pomona, NJ - City Campus – Atlantic City, NJ - Outpatient Practice: - AtlantiCare Pulmonolgy Office – Pomona, NJ [across from Mainland Hospital] - AtlantiCare Health Park – Egg Harbor Township, NJ Position Overview AtlantiCare Health System is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician to join a highly collaborative and growing team. This position offers a balanced mix of inpatient pulmonary, ICU coverage, and outpatient care across two hospital campuses and a modern outpatient practice. Physicians benefit from strong Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support, a collegial environment, and opportunities to engage in teaching as the system continues to expand its academic footprint. - Convenient proximity between campuses (~12–15 miles) - Outpatient location within easy commuting distance in South Jersey Schedule & Structure - Balanced inpatient, ICU, and outpatient responsibilities - Rotational model: - 5 days inpatient (Mainland or City campus) - 5 days outpatient practice - One Friday–Monday ICU block per rotation - Night call taken from home - No overnight in-house ICU call required Support Model: - 24/7 in-house ICU coverage by intensivists and APPs - Dedicated APP support at each campus - Shared, team-based care model Responsibilities - Provide inpatient pulmonary and critical care consults - Manage MICU patients alongside intensivist team - Deliver outpatient pulmonary care in Egg Harbor Township - Collaborate with and supervise APPs - Participate in teaching opportunities with residents and medical students Workload & Call - Approximately 50/50 inpatient and outpatient mix - Primarily home-based call - Weekend responsibilities include: - MICU coverage (Saturday & Sunday) - Consult coverage across both campuses Qualifications - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine - Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills - Interest in teaching and mentoring Why Join AtlantiCare? - Diverse and clinically rewarding case mix - Excellent work-life balance with structured scheduling - Robust APP and intensivist support model - Growing academic environment with future medical school affiliation - Supportive, physician-led culture About the Community Located in beautiful South Jersey, AtlantiCare Health System serves Atlantic, Cape May, and southern Ocean counties.
