Job Description:
The University Nurse provides high quality and cost effective
care to the student population and promotes health and wellness in
the campus community. All services are provided in a manner that is
consistent with the highest ethical standards, federal and state
regulations as well as the Universities philosophies and Catholic
Mission. Duties and Responsibilities: Triage of students presenting
to office for care including psycho-social assessment and obtaining
vital signs and obtaining point of care in-office testing when
appropriate. Perform phlebotomy to obtain laboratory testing
ordered by providers, administer allergy injections per physician
orders and follow up assessment and in-office observation, provide
patient teaching related to medical devices and routine screenings.
Counsel and help to create health promotional materials regarding
disease prevention with a focus on wellness and life style behavior
modification. Provide First Aid services to students. Participate
in Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement program goals and
objectives and campus outreach events as needed. Required
Qualifications: NJ RN licensure and a minimum of 3 years providing
clinical care as a member of a collaborative health team. Desired
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree preferred, but will consider
substituting relevant experience must be able to work
independently. Experience working in a university health setting
desirable. Licenses and Certificates: NJ RN licensure, BLS for
Healthcare Providers certification. Salary Range: $65,000-$72,500
Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt Physical Demands: General Office
