Aligns platform and technical strategies with the business vision and objectives through research, design and architecture of new technologies. Ensures the stability, integrity and efficient operation of enterprise systems. Monitors, maintains and optimizes all system hardware and associated operating systems.

Responsibilities:

• Designs, engineers and implements systems infrastructure.
• Installs and maintains operating systems and related software.
• Manages and monitors enterprise systems environment.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems in the systems environment.
• Applies proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues.
• Other duties as assigned.Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology field.Certifications:
    • Technical certifications preferred.
    • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date. Complexity of Work:
      • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
      • Must be able to work in stressful environment and take appropriate action.Work Experience:
        • Minimum five years experience in information systems design, configuration and management required.
        • Additional four years of experience may off-set the degree requirement.Preferred Qualifications:
          • Has a comprehensive view of the whole of Epic Windows applications, infrastructure and the 3rd party applications that are intimately connected including, not simply with each other within Epic, but with the other infrastructure technologies that Epic relies upon. This includes Windows OS, scripting, printing, IIS, Citrix XenApp, VMware, load balancing, firewalls, networking, storage and other technologies.
          • Installs, upgrades, maintains and supports Epic ancillary applications (Web Blob, Interconnect, Hyperspace Web, EPS, etc.) server platforms. Seeks assistance from more senior peers on complex issues.
          • Applies Epic client pack updates to all installed ancillary applications
          • Works with other teams to apply and validate Windows patches to application servers.
          • Monitors and optimizes the performance of Epic ancillary applications
          • Defines and implements security, audit, and resource allocation policies and procedures. Defines, creates, and manages service user accounts, profiles, privileges, roles, and required audit information.
          • Communicate and coordinate with other teams (UNIX, Oracle, Windows, Network, SAN etc.) related to database, application and environment support and projects.
          • 5 years of Windows Server experience including IIS
          • 3 years of Citrix XenApp administration.
          • 3 years of scripting, programming and automation.Physical Requirements:
            • Typical physical demands include manual dexterity sufficient to operate basic office equipment.
            • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.Personal Protective Equipment:
