Successful candidates will play a key role in establishing strong relationships and frequently communicate with executives, technical managers, software engineers, business analysts and others to architect innovative solutions that meet our customer's needs.WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Architect, design and develop large scale distributed systems that comprise of multiple components and services for enterprise customer projects or strategic roadmap projects
  • Design components and services with a strong focus on the -ilities - availability, scalability, reliability, upgradability, maintainability
  • Adhere to "best-in-class" engineering by ensuring that services and components are: well-defined, modular, secure, reliable, reusable, diagnosable, and actively monitored
  • Prototype and experiment with multiple solutions to evaluate the pros and cons of alternative architectures and designs, and by using data to make decisions
  • Technically lead a project end-to-end through the analysis, design, development, quality assurance and production readiness phases as iteratively as possible
  • Analyze current and legacy technologies within the product and come up with innovative designs to improve them with a focus on aforementioned -ilities and best practices
  • Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices via code + design reviews, iterative + frequent deployment into production, and shift-left for quality assurance via automation
  • Work closely with program and project managers to successfully monitor progress of major initiatives and features
  • Educate yourself on state of the art technologies, infrastructure + platform services in the AWS Cloud domain, and execute POCs to evaluate technology fits for customer needs
  • Set an example to the rest of the technical team by practicing what you preach and via continuous innovation
  • Oversee, coach and mentor junior and senior developersWHAT YOU'LL NEED:
    • Bachelors / Masters Degree in Computer Science or Electrical & Computer Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent experience
    • 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Design, or Development.
    • 3+ years of experience leading the architecture, design, development, and delivery of services and projects with enterprise scale
    • Experience developing cloud based infrastructure and platform services on the major cloud providers - AWS (preferred), Azure or GCP
    • Very strong coding and development skills with high level of proficiency in C# & .NET Core
    • High level of proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases and the ultra-efficient management of large data sets.
    • Strong passion for delivering high quality, large scale services that focus on the -ilities (scalability, availability, reliability, maintainability, reusability)
    • Knowledge of large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and passion to solve hard problems as part of a team
    • Project management and leadership skills are essential
