Job Description:

Fidelity Investments, a global leader in asset management and financial advisory services, is seeking a Principal Trading Engineer to join our dynamic IT & Data Management team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and optimizing our trading systems to enhance our financial services. The ideal candidate will possess robust technical skills, a deep understanding of trading algorithms, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of financial technology, leveraging extensive resources to pioneer systems that significantly impact our trading strategies. Design, develop, and maintain high-performance trading algorithms integrated with real-time data processing and analytics. Work closely with portfolio managers and quant teams to translate trading strategies into system implementations. Perform rigorous back-testing and simulations of trading models to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Continuously assess and incorporate new technologies to improve existing trading infrastructures. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and security requirements related to trading systems. Collaborate with IT professionals to ensure seamless integration and operational stability of trading platforms. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Expertise in programming languages like Python, C++, or Java. Strong understanding of financial markets, trading operations, and quantitative models. Experience with high-frequency trading systems and algorithms. Proficient in managing large datasets and using databases like SQL or NoSQL. Ability to perform high-level debugging and performance optimization. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) or similar is preferred. CFA Institute Investment Foundations Certificate can be an advantage.
