As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Markets - Prime Finance Services, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Job responsibilities Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Lead and mentor junior software engineers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and career development. Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making processes within the team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement strategic technology initiatives that align with business goals. Contribute to the architectural design and long-term planning of software solutions. Tackle complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions that drive business success. Conduct thorough analysis and debugging of critical issues, ensuring timely resolution. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 6 years applied experience Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Advanced working experience in Java Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages like Oracle, MySQL or NoSQL databases like MongoDB. Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements. Practical cloud native experience Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Familiarity with modern front-end technologies like React JS, javascript, typescript. Knowledge and experience building micro services. Exposure to cloud technologies especially hands-on with AWS or on-prem cloud like GAP/GKP etc., Exposure to messaging platforms like Kafka, IBM MQ etc.,
