Job Description:

Summary:

Sell eyewear products and services utilizing the SERVE selling strategy to Super Serve the Customer's needs. Schedule appointments, verify insurance coverage, maintain accurate patient records, and assist with preliminary testing under the Optometrist's supervision. Educate patients on lens insertion and removal and overall care of contact lenses.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Greet all customers in-person and by phone promptly and professionally as per company customer service standards to include identifying customers' needs/lifestyle selling, offering current promotions, multiple pair offerings, obtaining prescription, use of the lens selling kit, offering our Unbeatable Price/Money-Back Satisfaction guarantee, etc.

  2. Confirm appointment book: call appointments the day before to confirm the appointment time. Contact no shows. Call for insurance pre-authorization; notify patients when their contact lenses are available for dispensing, etc.

  3. Conduct all pre-test functions for eye exams to specifications.

  4. Use the lensometer to inspect finished eyeglasses to ensure compliance to the 7-Point Quality Check as well as provide a thorough dispense to ensure proper fit, etc. Adjust and repair customer eyewear

  5. Instruct patients on the insertion, removal, cleaning, care and proper handling of their contact lenses.

  6. Stock/re-stock merchandise, process defective, spoiled and cannibalized frames, clean and straighten displays and entire store to plan-o-gram.

  7. Maintain the Contact Lens Special Order Log; reorder both Model and Special Order contact lenses, Contact Lens Solution Starter Kits and process returns and exchanges through the Distribution Center.

  8. Follow company safety rules and standards.

  9. Other duties as assigned by management.

Education:

  • One (1) year of related experience
  • Optical preferred
  • HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience
