Bayshore Medical Center, part of the Hackensack Meridian Health Family, has been accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for MRI, Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound, and Breast Imaging. The ACR is a national professional organization serving more than 34,000 diagnostic/interventional radiologist, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology, and the delivery of comprehensive health care services. Responsibilities A day in the life of a CT Technologist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes: Responsibility for direct patient care of In, Out and Emergency Room patients in the performance of both routine and complex CT Examinations under the supervision of the Radiologists Utilizing different CT scanners as available in the performance of both contrast and non-contrast exams Post processing of exam data acquired is to be expected on a daily basis. All aspects of radiation safety, injection practice safety and general patient National Patient Safety Goals will be employed at all times Responsibility for ensuring that the proper exam that was ordered fits the departmental protocols Documenting all aspects of the care provided is essential Using various computer systems utilized in the hospital include but are not limited to PACS, RIS Clinical ordering pathway, Emergency Room and Transportation Communicating with the Radiologist as needed depending on situations and protocols as well as policies will also be expected Qualifications Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Current and valid ARRT Certification is required Current and valid NJDEP License is required Current and valid BLS/CPR Certification by American Heart Association is required Must be willing to work days, evenings, nights and weekends CT Certification is preferred GE experience is preferred If you feel that the above description speaks directly to your strengths and capabilities, then please apply today!
