Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Activities Assistant will work with the Director of Activities to provide stimulating and diverse activity programs for assisted living residents in Toms River, NJ.Responsibilities and Duties

• Highlight of responsibilities. Assists with the development of programs and planning activities.
• Day-to-day activities of the position. Encourages resident attendance by either calling them on their phone to remind them of the scheduled activity, going to their apartments to invite them and/or accompanying the resident to the area where the activity is scheduled to occur. Takes notes of any changes in the residents' general appearance and/or behavior. Informs Wellness Director or Licensed Nurse on duty of any changes. Is available to assist with special events, some of which may be after usual work hours or on weekends. Assists with trips out of the building as scheduled. Participates with holiday/special event decorating of the community and clean up afterwards. Assists with unpacking/repacking event decorations. Assists with inventory of supplies.

  • Hard and soft skills. Previous experience working with residents in activities. Outgoing personality.
