As a part of the Optum Tri-State network, Optum is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing team in New Jersey. At Optum, we are transforming healthcare nationally while providing physician-led care locally.

Schedule: 7:30am to 4:00pm OR 8:00am to 4:30pm

Primary Responsibilities:

  • File and maintain medical records
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously
  • Obtaining, separating, and directing faxes/scans to the appropriate department
  • Adhere to the standards identified in Optum's Employee Policy Manual
  • Cooperate with other Optum employees to achieve specific team goals
  • Keep abreast on current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPAA and OSHA requirements

      Required Qualifications:
      • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 2+years of experience working in a medical office
      • 1+ years of healthcare or customer service-related experience
      • Intermediate level of computer experience

        • Basic knowledge of EMR software
        • Beginner knowledge of medical terminology
