Our work depends onan Information Security AnalystAdvisor joining our team to supportOffice of the Inspector General(OIG) for theUnited States Postal Service (USPS)activitieslocated remotely. However, it is preferred if the candidate live within 2 hours of Arlington, VA, in order to support onsite if necessary You will be responsible for managing the design, planning, implementation, and administration of databases, including security, access, and documentation. In this role, a typical day will include: * Configuring, managing, and administeringcloud-basedsecurity tools such as, Azure Security Center (Sentinel, Log Analytics, Azure WAF, Defender forIdentity, Privileged Identity Manager); Microsoft 365 Security Suite (Defender, Advanced ThreatProtection, Cloud Application Security, Protection Portal); Microsoft Security and ComplianceCenter; Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune); multi-factor authentication (MFA); web contentfiltering; and secure document sharing and collaboration solutions * Executing Security Operations including incident detection, identification,management, response, and reporting; Must have experience in incident response andmanagement * Making recommendationsthat significantly influence OIG's information security policies orprograms;Building policies and preparing briefings to explain security programs andrequirements to senior executives * Providingexpert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to managementand other technical specialists on critical information technology security issues * Assessingrisk factors and advise on vulnerability to attack from a variety of sourcesand procedures for protection of systems and applications * Implementing FISMA, NIST, OMB guidelines, and other Federal regulationsand guidance * Interpreting and implementing FISMA/NIST requirements focused onthe operational implementation and documentation of those requirements * Managesecurity controls for cloud-hosted environments, applications, and services * DevelopSystem Security Plans, Security Assessment Reports, ContinuousMonitoring Plans, and Plans of Action & Milestones * Ensure coordination and collaboration on security activities * Effectively communicate both orally and in writing with management and other technicalspecialists * Plan, organize and manage tasks on time with minimal supervision WHAT YOU'LL NEED: * BA/BS degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Assurance, Information Systems, ComputerScience,or related field * 10+ years of experience * Possess at least 7 years of specialized IT experience with at least 5 years in IT Security * SANS GIAC orISC (2) certification(s) (or equivalent) * Top Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain TS clearance) DESIRED: * Microsoft certification(s): Azure Security Engineer Associate, Security Operation Analyst Associate, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Information Protection Administrator Associate * Candidate live within driving distance of Arlington, VA, office, so they can provide in person support if needed WHAT GDIT CAN OFFER YOU: * Full-flex work week * 401K with company match * Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career * Challenging work that makes a real impact on the world around you * Diverse, highly collaborative teams Please Note: The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years.
