business.The Project Manager is the manager of the construction
project(s) and is charged with producing quality workmanship that
is on schedule and on budget. The Project Manager is experienced
and knowledgeable in all phases of construction and has the ability
to orchestrate labor, materials and subcontractors that are crucial
to the success of the project(s).Position Qualifications, Skills
and Knowledge:Ability to handle multiple, concurrent, projects or
assignments with the help of the Merrick team.Ability to direct
team of finish carpenters to layout cabinetry, trim and detailed
paneling.Extremely knowledgeable in high-end finish carpentry;
details make the difference.Strong organizational skills.Ability to
prioritize tasks and take notes. "All in my head" types should not
apply.Weekly and monthly planning a must.Proficient in scheduling,
budget management and task management.Follow through with tasks to
completion.Ability to hold people responsible when necessary.Strong
attention to detail.Calm outward appearance.Education, Experience
and Training:Minimum 10 years of experience of hands-on carpentry
workProject Management courses a plusMinimum 3 years of experience
as a Project ManagerExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel and
Outlook a plusGeneral Responsibilities:Ensure projects are
completed on-time and within budgetsSupervise onsite personnel and
subcontractorsInterface with project inspectors, contractors,
architects, engineers and clientsProvide exceptional customer
serviceProvide daily management of active construction
projectsSchedule material, labor and subcontractors to meet or
exceed schedule and budget expectationsConduct weekly site
meetingsRead and interpret blueprintsReview shop drawings and
product submittals for accuracy and coordination between
