About the Role The Senior Disbursement Accountant will oversee accounting processes related to settlement distributions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in managing funds. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting work, thrives in data-driven environments, and collaborates effectively across teams to produce reliable financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Perform and review accounting functions related to settlement distributions, including reconciliations, bank account monitoring, and fund disbursements Process vendor payments through checks, wire transfers, ACH, and other approved methods Track and reconcile settlement bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness Monitor and analyze bank activity to confirm proper transaction tracking Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for internal and external stakeholders Collaborate with internal teams across operations, finance, client services, and legal to maintain compliance with settlement agreements Assist in preparing year-end tax documentation such as 1099s Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives, including automation efforts Serve as a subject matter resource on distribution accounting procedures Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field Two to four years of experience in accounting, reconciliation, treasury, or data analysis Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical and reconciliation skills Experience using online treasury and banking platforms Proficiency in accounting software preferred Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Why This Role Opportunity to contribute to high-impact settlement programs with national reach Collaborative team culture with professional development and advancement potential Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, employer-paid vision, disability, and life insurance 401(k) program and Employee Assistance Plan Generous paid time off including PTO, sick leave, floating holidays, and company holidays Benefits - $82k - $95k base salary plus up to a 10% annual bonus based on performance - Annual raises of up to 5% - Medical, Dental, Life insurance - PTO - 15 Days plus 6 days sick time - 3 Floating Holidays plus 10 paid Company Holidays - PTO Carryover option year to year - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
